Coat of variable coloration, light yellow to gray-brown. It has a distinctive dark stripes on the sides of the body and the thighs.
Hunting: Hyenas attack the elderly and the poor smaller mammals, reptiles, insects, birds.
Nutrition: carcass, the remains of the victims abandoned by other predators, vegetables and fruits.
Reproduction: gestation lasts about 90 days, young are born in a number of 2-4, are overgrown ears and are blind.
Development: Feeding breast milk is the second months of age.
