Lifestyle: Most of the time spent living peacefully in family groups. They have their territories of the area. to 30 km2. Most often feed at night and morning, the day of rest at noon, at night preparing nest of branches and leaves. They are intelligent mammals, they can use various objects in order to facilitate a certain operations, such as a stone smash nuts. They move on all fours, leaning on bent fingers of the hands.

Nutrition: A vegetarian diet, they consume about 140 species of plants.

Protection: Both species of gorilla are endangered species. The threat to G. b beringei, G. B. diehli and Bwindi population was considered critical.
